SURE 2008 Poster Symposium (to be updated shortly)

The 2008 SURE poster symposium took place on Wednesday the 3rd of September in TCD with 18 summer research students presenting posters of their research work. Students and guests were formally welcomed to the session by TCD Head of School of Physics, Prof John Donegan. Professor John McGilp along with Dr. Tanya Perova and Prof. Iouri Gounko presented a number or prizes to four successful students for their exceptional posters in the areas of content and presentation. Speaking on behalf of the judges Prof. McGilp expressed yet again the difficulty the judging group had in selecting the winners as all the posters were of such a high standard. Prof. Donegan brought the 2008 programme to a close and once again congratulated all the participating students on their success and dedication this summer and also wished them every success in their future careers.
